Job Summary

The BSI Project Manager is part of the Shared IT Services team which is comprised of highly skilled IT professionals that partner with business leaders and commercial software solution providers for the successful acquisition, integration, and deployment of mission critical technology solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. He/She will combine analytical ability, technical integration skills, and project management principals to manage the delivery of data integration projects. This will include selecting the appropriate integration approach and applying sound technical management and development skills throughout the delivery lifecycle to produce high quality solutions.
  2. He/She will be responsible for the design, development of application interfaces, data flows, and APIs, utilizing both vendor-delivered services and internal API management tools.

  4. As People Manager, he/she will be responsible in setting goals for the team, performance management of employees and consultants, training and development of direct reports, administrative tasks, team and individual organization.
  5. Collaborate with support teams to resolve production incidents and proactively seek opportunities to develop preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT
  • Has held People Manager function for at least 2 years (with direct reports)
  • At least 5 years of project management and related experience
  • Experienced in both waterfall and agile methodologies of managing IT solutions projects
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to customer service
  • Proficient in solutions integration tools, technologies (API, Web Services, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Insurance Operations, preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred
  • Can effectively work with remote teams
  • Excellent communication skills both to IT and non-IT people; written and verbal
